Subconciously political, this catalog of journal entries
are a natural combination of musical space, field recordings and spoken
fragments. Surreal, subtle and beautiful, this ambient suite shows
how these California experimentalists deserve thier underground following.

THE REFRACTORS
Things grow in the most unexpected of places.
Ten years ago, Joseph and Kayline first started working together
with developmentally disabled kids and adults, and soon after began
collaborating on sound and film. With the belief that nature prevails,
they allowed thier music to develop out of improvisation, like allowing
gardens to take form. Living in the mists of Pacifica, California,
their convenient seclusion allows them to create surreal environments
with an eclectic collection of instruments and field recordings.
They continue to score their award-winning short films as Lucid
Cine. For fans of David Lynch, Deaf Center and Piano
Magic.
The Folio Series
8 Year Sleep [ extended] will be the first release on the new 'Folio
' sereis, by Dynamophone. Hand-assembled, short
run releases, the Folio series will allow us to bring you innovative
releases in a new compelling new packaging approach. C onsisting
of a simple thick 'folio' card cover, with liner notes and CD attached
on the inside. On the disk will be a second session with the custom
made 'Lilian' digital player- High quality sound with track by track
liner notes, large photos, and a more 'cohesive' digital
experience than you've ever had before.
